According to the American Lung Association, Fresno leads the nation in short-term particle pollution. Through the deployment of bi-directional batteries, the hub not only supports clean energy adoption but also ensures emergency preparedness. These batteries provide critical backup power for shelters, hospitals, and essential services during crises, addressing the vulnerabilities highlighted by CalEnviroScreen's 97th percentile ranking for PM2.5 pollution in the area.
